Guest Worthy

As the holidays approach, it may be time to get that guest room in order!

1. Dust and sweep thoroughly.  Air out the room well beforehand.

2. Is the mattress comfortable? When’s the last time you turned it?

3. 300-count sheets or higher, extra pillows and blankets, a bath robe.

4. Eliminate accumulated items that have become “temporarily” stored in here.

5. Closet and drawers should be sufficiently vacant to enable guest usage.

6. Mirror.  Bedside reading lamps.  Arm chair and table, if room permits.

7. Nightstand with clock, carafe of water, drinking glass, magazines, books.

8. Vase of fresh flowers.  Bowl of fruit, or something catering to a sweet tooth.

You might test fly the room yourself one night, to see what’s lacking.  And it’s not a bad idea to get feedback from your guests once they’re safely home again!
